Did you know that Clayton County's DFAC unit sucks.
Because of Claudia breaking her leg and having to go in the hospital, we have asked a lawyer to help us apply for Medicaid.
Our reason for doing this is because Claudia has no insurance, and we have no money to pay for the hospital and doctors.
I can't take a job to earn money to pay the hospital, because I am Claudia's only caretaker. Any job I take would not pay me enough to hire somebody to stay with Claudia while I am at work. Also at age 73 I am not sure anyone would hire me.
Anyway back to DEFACS we received a notice from them stating they received our application on May 13, 2009 and we require a whole list of documents, including birth certificates, marriage certificates, proof of income, three months worth of bank statements, picture ID, social security card, etc.
Well we know for a fact that all of this information has already been provided by the lawyer. All this notice is bullshit.
So we have called the lawyer and apprised her of the situation. So we will see if she is a person of her word.
