Meditating, contemplating, praying.

Yes! that's right, I spent several hours this morning sitting out on my screened in porch, with the door to my apartment open, while I sat on the wooden platform rocker(? not sure). It was very comfortable with a mild breeze, birds singing and flitting around, butterflies everywhere, wildflowers and honeysuckle mating with the bees. Altogether a very bucolic scene, lovely, just lovely, inducing meditation, contemplation, and prayer.
The sun was shining, private planes were taking off from a nearby airfield, and while I had a book to read, I couldn't keep focused on what it said. I would just sit quietly and and let my thoughts drift with clouds on the breeze, so calming and so, so soothing.

This week has been rather trying for me, as I had six teeth pulled on Tuesday, and while it was a trying and somewhat exasperating experience, I must say the Dentist did a remarkable job of keeping it pain free. Nor did he butcher my gums while he removed the teeth. In passing, the teeth were not repairable, they were badly broken and three of them had root infections, which I had to get rid of. I am on a heavy regimen of antibiotics right now, and they seem to working. Then, to compound the mouth pain, the pain meds ordered by the doctor caused me to heave violently, It was so bad, the Dentist had to order anti-nausea medications to stop the heaving, and I quite taking the pain meds. My knee hurts much worse then my gums do anyway. Next week I'm going to call the Dentist and see about getting upper denture as I no longer have teeth on the up side. Right now, I can't eat steak or salad or an apple or corn-on-the-cob either. *le sigh*

All of this is in preparation for me to get my knee replaced, now that I have been cleared by both the Cardiologist and the Dentist. It seems that whenever you have items such as artificial joints, if you have a bone infection, it gets under the metal and your antibodies and antibiotics can't get at them to kill them. Go figure.

For those of you that read my rantings, thank you and God Bless you.

sincerely, gahillbilly.
