Contemplation and Loneliness, and an Action PLan.

I have been thinking about something my in home Rehab Nurse said to me; she asked me if I went fishing or camping, or did any other outdoor activity, and I had to admit I did not. We got to talking further about fishing and she told me about her and her husband going up into the mountains in northern Georgia and fishing for bass, and brim. Apparently the both of them love to go fishing and will do so at every opportunity. I told her how I used to go up into the High Sierra's in Northern California with my friend Joe George and fish for trout. Specifically we would go into the State and Federal Parks wilderness area, where you have to hike in or go on horseback. No motorized vehicles are allowed. We would go up on Friday evening after work and spend the weekend, right up until Sunday afternoon camping and fishing. For every meal we had fresh caught trout, along with whatever other staples we brought with us. We both enjoyed it immensely.
The area we frequented was up above 7500 ft elevation, in the greater Lake Tahoe Wilderness area.

Then my friend Bob and I were talking on the phone and the subject came up that I am pretty much a hermit, as I don't get out very much at all. I realize that what he said is true, I don't get out and socialize much at all.

My rehab nurse went out of her way to bring me a brochure on local and state parks that I could visit. She also gave me a list of web sites that I could use for winning trips and prizes, and she even showed me how a couple of her friends actually earn extra money doing so. Should I win a trip or a prize I don't want or can't use, I could sell the trip or prize on e bay or craig's list or wherever.

I'm thinking I am going to look into each of the above mentioned items, along with several other monetizing ideas. In other words, I need to become much more pro-active, and make an effort to do more socializing.

I also have several unfinished projects that I need to be working on. They include the following items:
1. Finish the custom shelving for my Daughter Elizabeth's sewing/pattern cutting table.
2. Finish the wooden model Dragon, and paint it, and prepare it for hanging from the ceiling.
3. Begin putting together the website for the family tree.
4. Install the Doorbells along with signs containing my name outside so that my visitors don't bother Debbie upstairs when trying to find me.
5. Find and fix the problem keeping the Chevy Cavalier from running and put it back on the road.
6. Find a way to sell my electric scooter and electric power chairs, which is probably a loosing proposition.
7. And not to forget, win the lottery.

Should any of my readers have any ideas along these lines, I would love to hear from you.

God Bless us all from the gahillbilly.
