THE BLACK DOT.
A college professor walked into his class and stated that he has a test today. After laying the test face down on everybody's desk, he said now everybody turn the test over. On the paper was a black dot in the middle of the page.
The professor said now everybody write about the black dot. The students complied.
After collecting all the papers and reviewing them the professor says, everybody focused on the black dot, which is what virtually everybody does in real life. Everybody focuses on their bad health, their problems at work, the lousy traffic, how to pay their bills, etc.
Why did nobody focus on the very large piece of white paper? What about all the things that are right about your life, your job, your health, your wife, your children, and your God?
I chose to write about the White Paper:
A truism if there ever was one. I for one will look at the white sheet of paper and describe it for all to see and hear.
For the greater part of my life, I had jobs and work that I enjoyed doing, and at which I was very good at. I like to think I left a legacy behind that leaves the world in better shape then it was.

As I grow older, my life is a shining glow, on each and every day I awaken. Giving thanks to God for another wonderful day.
I am thrilled to have a roof over my head, clean clothes to wear, a comfortable apartment in spring, summer, fall, and winter.
Transportation to take me here and there.
Sufficient food to feed the body.
Warm friends to give me support and solace.
Doctors over the years that have repaired, replaced, and actually improved me physically, thus allowing me to continue to see, to walk, to breath, and to be mostly free of pain.
A family that gets me.
I have had the great fortune to have had two beautiful and wonderful wives, and five, count them, five beautiful daughters of whom I am very proud. Add to this eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
I am blessed to have a God that feeds my soul and my spirit, allowing me to be at peace.

So, herein, I offer you the very large piece of white paper, without the black dot.
God Bless us all,
