Have you ever laid in bed trying to relax and go to sleep, but your mind is racing along at some enormous speed, preventing you from sleeping. That is why I sit here at the computer at 1:30 am trying to make sense of the maelstrom of thoughts that went whizzing by, while trying to get some rest.
It is said, that the subconscious mind continues to process information while you sleep, and that is ok because you can sleep while it does so. But when your conscious mind is whirling with thoughts about all the things you did or didn't do during the day or during the week or even during the month, sleep becomes unreachable.
We all know that we can reach for sleeping pills, pain pills, knockout pills, alchohol, and other chemical means of knocking ourselves out, but these things will bring us to worse challenges then losing a little sleep.
So my question is directed to anyone who may accidentally come across my blog; What can one do to reduce the chaos swirling in my mind to the point that I can get some sleep?
Does anyone have an answer?
