Well here it is, 1:27am and I am unable to get to sleep. My mind keeps going over and over the fact that I am stuck at home, because I still don't have my car back. After a complete overhaul of the transmission and re-installing in the van, it doesn't shift correctly. Go figure. I certainly hope they can figure out what is wrong. I have been without my car for two weeks now. I believe the shop personal are really doing their best, but my van seems to be giving them fits.
Also I have been thinking about my wife having to live in the nursing home, where it is noisy and the attendants aren't really all that responsive. If it weren't for the daily dose of hospice care, I am sure she wouldn't get as good care as she currently does. Problem with the hospice is, they are only there for a few hours five days a week, then forget the rest of the time.
My daughter and I are trying to move Claudia to a nursing home closer to where we live. The one she is in, is over 45 miles and more then an hours drive from where we live. Since I have no transportation, I have to depend on somebody else for transport to and from. I really hate having to ask somebody else to drive me somewhere, but I really don't have a choice now, do I?
It really sucks that public transportation is not a primary goal anywhere in Georgia, let alone anywhere in Atlanta. The greater Atlanta area would be a great place to live, if there were a decent will planned and layed out public transport system. But I doubt it will ever happen, as long as the Georgia DOT (Department of Transportation) has anything to say about it.
