TOWN CENTER COMMUNITY CHURCH IS HAVING A FUNDING DRIVE.
That's right, my Church is having a funding drive. Not only is it a fund drive, but it is a Three Year Plan. Now I have got to tell you, wherever Claudia and I lived we were involved with our Church. We didn't just attend, we participated. Claudia would be involved with the choir, and with various other fund raising projects. I couldn't sing, so I usually became involved as one of the Church Leaders, usually on the Board of Directors. I was even president of the Board of Directors for a while at the Unity Church of Jonesboro, GA. I would also become involved in church maintenance and in improvements. Whenever we could, we would contribute money over and above our tithing. During our 40 years of marriage, Claudia and I would be heavily involved in running the Church. I also have to say that we were also very good friends with the minister(s) and their families.Let me say that I accepted Jesus as my savior back when I was a teenager of about 12 or 13. I don't remember the date, but I know I was still in Junior High School.
I always enjoyed volunteering and helping out, because I could and because I wanted too. I have been thinking; do I want to become involved with this Church? That is the question that I have been mulling over for a couple of months now.
Where am I with the decision? Well I'm leaning more toward not getting deeply involved with this Church. I think I will participate insofar as I am able, but not to the degree of involvement I had in the past. I just don't think I have the physical stamina or the monetary wherewithal to become deeply involved.
If any of my readers have any thoughts on this, I would love to hear from you.
OH! and God I know you will let me know what you think, you certainly have in the past.
God Bless from the gahillbilly.
