A Fine Kettle of Fish, or a big mess of crawdad's, or a big pile of s**t.
I am in a quandry. Why? you may ask? Well I have actually signed up with a dating site, "Match.com" as a matter of fact. I've filled out a significant portion of the biography except for touting my remarkable assets and posting my picture and to my immense surprise I have already received over 24 requests or matches as they are called.Let me tell you, this is a big surprise to me. I did indeed list my actual age and listed an age range within 5 years of my own age. I had no idea there were so many woman on one of these meet and greet sites. Especially older woman. I mean Wow!!
Yes to those of you that know me, I still miss my Claudia, a lot. I will always miss her. Before signing up for this Match Maker thing I gave it a lot of thought and I realized I don't go out to parties or bars, or dance clubs or any place else that I might meet women. Yes I meet and/or see woman at church on Sundays, but I don't really know if any of them are available, let alone looking for somebody. And no I don't want to get up on the pulpit and announce to everyone that I'm looking for female company.
No, I have to go and do something stupid like go on line and announce to the world that I'm a lonely old geezer looking for a female companion.
What would really be marvelous is to find a very rich and lonely woman, that could and would put up with me. Who knows, it could happen? couldn't it?
Then to top it off I have set out to build my youngest daughter a Tardis ( here is a link for those that don't know what it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dm5bT9msKP4 ).
The purpose of the Tardis is to store my daughters sewing things, such as material, and patterns. The actual building part is fairly simple, basically a high end furniture design. The piece-De-resistance, however, is designing and making the electronics necessary to duplicate the flashing light, and the unique sound of Dr Who's Time Traveling Tardis. I have been doing research on the electronics required to do the sound and lights which would be fairly straight forward, except my daughter would like to be able to activate it remotely by telephone or by computer, or while opening the doors. Since I am an electronic engineer, I can do the circuit design, but in researching the components needed, I am finding difficulty in locating the necessary parts.
Never fear, I will figure out a way in which to perform my electronic magic, it will just take a little time.
So! now you can see, I have given myself one hell of a challenge.
Well, that's all from the gahillbilly.
God Bless us all.
