PONDERING MY JOURNAL VS MY FACEBOOK PAGE?
WHY THE QUESTION IN THE TITLE OF THIS ARTICLE?
I ask the question because I have realized that my blog and my FB page are interfering with each other. It dawned on my today as I was driving home from my 9:30 am meeting with my Dermatologist, that I have been substituting my Facebook entries for my blog entries. I originally started my blog back in about 2006 to write a journal to share with other folks that had loved ones to care for at home.
I tried to post as frequently as I could about the triumps, tribulations, trials, and sometimes the happy things that occurred while staying at home to take care of Claudia.
So, I have decided I am going to try and go back to writing in my Journal more frequently, and spend less time on FB. Yes, FB. FB has become addictive, and I'll bet the money I don't have that millions of other people are having a similar problem with the addiction of FB (and Twitter) whether they will admit it or not.
So, today I went to see my Dermatologist for my six month viewing. Now what does a six month viewing entail, first I have to stand there naked, while the Female Nurse stands there watching me and taking notes and/or pictures for the doctor.
Meanwhile the Doctor examines me from head to toe for pre-cancer, and cancer growths on my skin. Before I can dress, the doctor takes out his weapon of choice, which is a can of sub-zero freezing gas, and proceeds to freeze more than two dozen pre-cancer growths on my face, arms, head, neck, and back.
Does it hurt, yes it does, but it does keep the pre-cancer growths from becoming cancer, which often entails surgery.
This afternoon, I have an appointment to see my orthopedic doctor to discuss treatment of what I like to refer to as my pain in the abdomen(lower right side). This pain has been going on for far too long and something has to be done about it. *Le Sigh*.
PART II OF TODAY'S JOURNAL.
I just got back from my appointment with Dana at the orthopedic office. First the blood tests taken from my last visit are all normal, no signs of infection. So Dana and I are talking about what is causing the pain in my lower right abdomin, and we now, both think it is my messed up back causing the pain. It seems the nerves for this area feed out through the T1/L4 vertrebrate and according to my last MRI those 2 vertrebrate are rubbing together and in adddition has a bone spur on it pinching said nerve. So I now have an appointment with Dr. Levine to see about having additional nerve ablation surgery which should alleviate this pain. The appointment is next Tuesday afternoon.
I look forward to the next appointment. Maybe, just maybe I will get relief from the pain in the not too distant future.
This is a journal entry.
