SUPERBOWL 51, FEBRUARY 2017.
AN UNFORGETTABLE RECORD BREAKING SPORTING EVENT.
I know, anybody who really knows me, I don't normally pay any attention to sports. Yes I can and occasionally do watch a sporting event. Since the Atlanta Falcons were one of the teams playing in the 51st SUPERBOWL, I decided to tune in.
I tuned in during the first part of the 2nd Quarter. I was very pleased to see the score as 18 to 0, in favor of my team, the Falcons.
I had fixed one of my favorite dishes, potatoes, green beans, seasoned with crisp bacon, salt and pepper. So I invited Marjan over to join me for dinner.
So Marjan and I using TV trays at our dinner while watching the Superbowl. I have to say it was an exciting game.
The half time show was a magnificent extravaganza and blew us away. With the score so much in favor of the Falcons, I figured that they would be able to keep their lead and come out as the winner of the Super Bowl. Boy was I ever wrong.
Nobody in the history of Superbowls ever came back from a 20 to nothing deficit to win the game at the end. But the New England Patriots did just that. They fought hard and fast and in the end won the game. Talk about disappointing, I was truly disappointed.
I'm glad I'm not a gambler, because I would have lost my bet.
Marjan and I enjoyed being together and watching the game, although I had to explain some of the plays and decisions that were made during the game.
