Today has been an interesting day for me. I woke up at 8:30am (very late for me) did the usual, then lay back down and fell asleep quickly (again quick for me) then slept until 1030am. I haven't slept that long in months if not years. It felt good. Now if I could only figure out what may have allowed me to sleep so long???
Normally I sleep about 3 maybe 4 hours and I wake up unable to get back to sleep. And it's not for lack of trying. I'm not sure if it's due to the pain I suffer in my lower back or some other reason. It may be due to my age, but I think not.
I truly wish I knew why I couldn't or can't sleep. I am reluctant to use sleep aids. I have tried them in the past, and that left me in a weird space. Not a very pretty space either.
I sincerely wish I new who I could talk to about my problem with not being able to sleep for at least 8 hours a night.
About 9 months ago I actually bought a new box spring and mattress. Why you ask? Because my old one was sagging a lot in the middle. I hoped that would help,it did, but not enough.
I suppose I could talk to a doctor, but then the question becomes which doctor?
