I've been absent lately.

I was just noticing that I haven't posted anything in a while, and I realized it is probably because of Facebook, mostly, and a little bit of Twitter.
I tend to spend quite a bit of time on Facebook because I have so many relatives and friends posting  on FB and it keeps me up to date on what people are doing. It is really exciting to be able to see my siblings, my children, my grandchildren, my cousins, and so many friends letting me and everybody know what is going on in their lives.
Of course, I try to post interesting things that are going on with me for anybody that may be interested.
However, I find myself sometimes spending too much time on the computer with Facebook and Twitter instead of doing other things that I really need to do.

Maybe I need to start a 12 step program for FB addicts?
What do you folks think? Should I start one? Your comments and suggestions are certainly welcome.

God Bless us all, each and everyone.

  1. If there's a 12-step program for us, I haven't found it yet. I, too, find I spend an in-ordinate amount of time on FB, often looking at the same posts over and over again when I get lonely. I enjoy being there to chat with my friends and loved ones but I, too, feel that sometimes I let life pass me by while waiting for it there. Something to think about. Perhaps you and I should START a group. When we're bored and lonely instead of sitting around FB waiting, we go out and make our own fun to post about, even if it's just going to the bookstore and browsing the new releases and the magazines.
